Die Psychoonkologie, auch psychosoziale Onkologie genannt, ist ein Teilgebiet der Onkologie. Es bezeichnet eine interdisziplinäre Form der Psychotherapie bzw. der klinischen Psychologie, die sich mit der Beratung und Behandlung psychosozialer Belastungen und Probleme im Zusammenhang mit einer Krebserkrankung beschäftigt. Hierbei spielen Wechselwirkungen zwischen seelischen, körperlichen und sozialen Einflüssen in der Entstehung und im Verlauf einer Krebserkrankung eine Rolle.⁽¹⁾
